I appreciate everyone who submitted their bibliography on time. I look forward to seeing Part 1 on BB Vista by the end of this week. It will not be accepted through email, hard copy or next week. Part 2 will be submitted in the same way next week and Part 3 as well as the final before the winter holiday. In the meantime, don't forget your portfolios, due in the box at desk 11, Dec. 13. Research Project
Choose an artwork which you are particularly interested in
and prepare a 500 word research report about it.
Your report should be divided into three parts (150-200 words each
part):
Part 1: An overview of the artist, the work itself and the art
movement.
Part 2: The social context the work was made in. That is, what was
happening in history and politics at the time? How did this influence or impact
the work?
Part 3: Analysis: what makes the work
important/significant/valuable
and your opinion of it?
Your teacher will notify you of draft
and final due dates.
bibliography in your report.

Principles of Design
I am appreciating reading your creative responses in your portfolios. However, some students would still benefit from extra practice. If you would like extra practice on the principles of design, you may use Hokusai's Great Wave Off Kanagawa or prepare one of your own to lead the class through the principles. Be sure to make copies for everyone.
