Second Workshop

The second art workshop, worth 5%, is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th, 10am-12 in the ADMC auditorium. This one is about photography. You don't need a camera, but bring your mobile phones. Unfortunately, this date overlaps with the Art Fair at Saadiyat, so plan ahead to be able to do both!

Portfolios

I look forward to reading your portfolios when we return from the holiday. 

You do not need to wait for me to return it for you to pick your six images and begin your reflections. I suggest you pick images that will help you demonstrate your knowledge of the principles of design. I hope you will include your favorite artwork and explain why it is your favorite. My favorite is Van Gogh's Thatched Cottages at Cordeville.

Due Dates

Everyone's group presentation disc is due in a box at desk 11 by Thursday. Next week the same box will collect your portfolios. Reflective analysis practice in class again this week.

Community Workshops

Great opportunity to make up workshops, especially for those who live outside of Abu Dhabi, is coming to Khalifa Park Oct. 17-23. To get the 5% class credit you must register in advance for a workshop of your choice, complete the workshop and get photos of yourself creating the art and your completed creation. Field trip opportunity upcoming. Please arrange to join us Friday at 3:30pm, Oct. 12 at Marina Mall for ADFF film "Gates". You will be responsible for your own transportation & ticket purchase. We will discuss days in lieu during class time, but also please check your email for changes.
